Laukanranta is a bed and breakfast on the bank of the Oulujoki river in the village of Laitasaari in Muhos, about twenty minutes' drive from Oulu. Guests stay either in the old log house or in the loft storehouse in the yard, and three of the rooms are air conditioned. Rates start at 80 euros and include breakfast, bed linen, cleaning and VAT; pets are not accepted. The house is a Rokua Geopark entrepreneur.
