Holiday Club Katinkulta is a spa resort in Vuokatti with holiday homes and a golf course in the same area.

Lomatalo Aallotar rents two semi-detached apartments, Kuiskaus and Havina, at the Paltamo golf centre on the shore of Lake Oulujärvi. Each is 76 square metres with six beds, two bedrooms, a kitchen-living room, a sauna and washroom, a separate toilet, storage, a terrace and a balcony. The equipment includes a heat-retaining fireplace, an air source heat pump, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a drying cabinet, and pets are welcome. Published rates start at 180 euros for one night, 475 euros for three and 890 euros for seven, with three price bands: low season, summer, and holidays and events. The Paltamon Golf course is about 0.4 kilometres away.

Majatalo Kotolinna is a guesthouse on the riverbank in the centre of Paltamo village. It has single and twin rooms and a family room, and guests can also book the whole upstairs apartment, the downstairs rooms or the entire house; both floors have lounge and dining space and a kitchen with cookware. Bathing is in three rain-shower washrooms and an indoor sauna, and the separately bookable wood-heated yard sauna has an outdoor hot tub looking onto the river. Breakfast is available for bookings of at least two people or two nights, pets are welcome for a 15-euro fee, and the rate includes one hour of the indoor sauna per room per night. The Paltamon Golf course is about 1.2 kilometres away.

Accommodation complex in Vuokatti, Sotkamo, comprising a small hotel plus high-standard villas and apartments near the slopes and the lake. The villas have their own saunas; the Katinkulta golf courses are located nearby.

Hotelli Kajaani stands on Onnelantie and says all the city's services are within walking distance; it has four room types. The Comfort room has two beds, a balcony, a fridge, a desk and a kettle, the Standard room is the same without the balcony and the kettle, the family room sleeps three to four, and the Lönnrot apartment has four beds, a living room, a kitchenette with a stove and microwave, a terrace, two toilets, a shower and its own sauna. The room rate includes breakfast, an evening sauna, wifi and parking; students and pensioners get 15 per cent off and a pet costs 15 euros per room. On the bank of the Kajaani river is the hotel's Rantasauna Elias, with two saunas, a fireplace lounge and a swimming spot. The Kajaanin Golf course is about 4.7 kilometres away.

Kainuun Opisto is a folk high school in Mieslahti near Lake Oulujärvi, and it sells accommodation to outside guests as well as to students. Bed and breakfast is available all year in rooms for one to three people with a private bathroom and shower: a single is 68 euros a night, a double 80 euros and a third person 30 euros more. From 1 June to 10 August 2026 there is also hostel accommodation at 35 euros per person a night in rooms for two or three with shared washing facilities, with breakfast at 8.50 euros. Linen, towels, wifi and parking are included; pet rooms cost 10.50 euros extra and the sauna can be booked separately. The Paltamon Golf course is about 5.9 kilometres away.
