Golf cottages

Vanajanlinna is a manor hotel in Hämeenlinna whose estate hosts the championship-level Linna Golf course and villa accommodation.

Tiirinkosken Tehdas lets two units on an old factory site at Tiirinkoski in Hämeenlinna: the Loft for one to four guests with two bedrooms and the Huvila for two to six with three bedrooms, both with their own sauna. Bed linen and towels are included, breakfast costs 19.50 euros per person and a pet 30 euros a night. The published prices are 220 to 300 euros a night for the Loft and 280 to 480 for the Huvila, and both are open all year. The Hattula Golf course is about 3.7 kilometres away.

Levomäen maatilamökit rents three cottages at Ypäjä on a farm that has stayed in the same family since the 1700s and grows sugar beet, caraway, grain and hay for horses; the accommodation business began in 2010. Korpela is a nostalgic cottage built in the 1920s with six beds and two extra ones, a kitchen-living room with a wood stove, and a separate sauna building holding a shower room, a WC, a changing room and a sheltered terrace. Murronmökki sleeps four to five and has a wood-heated sauna, a fireplace, a composting toilet and a swimming pond, but no running water — water is brought in containers. Kivinen is a 1960s farmhouse for five with three extra beds, with two indoor toilets, an indoor shower, an air-source heat pump, a dishwasher and a yard sauna renovated in 2011; the barn holds a home museum of old household implements. A pet may come along for a charge of ten euros. The Loimijoki Golf course is about 3.8 kilometres away.

Paijan maatilamajoitus is a farm at Ypäjä between Forssa and Loimaa with accommodation both year-round and for the summer season. Open all year are the guest house, which has 15 beds in five bedrooms, a large kitchen and a common room and doubles as a meeting space for 10 to 12 people; the 25-square-metre Kanapiian kammari with its own mini kitchen and bathroom; and Menninkäisen takkatupa, a barrel-vaulted room with its own pond and space for three to four. The summer cottages are available between 1 June and 15 September: the 21-square-metre Hirsimökki, the 10-square-metre Kämmenkäinen with a 12-square-metre glazed terrace, the 12-square-metre Pikkumökki with a glazed veranda, and the 15-square-metre Saunamökki with its own small sauna and shower. The farm also hires out a smoke sauna, a cart sauna and a family sauna, runs the Riihipub in summer and a caravan area from mid-May to mid-September, and offers guided canoe trips on the river Loimijoki. The Loimijoki Golf course is about 5.4 kilometres away.
