Golf courses and places to stay – Malta

Malta has a single 18-hole golf course, the Royal Malta Golf Club at Marsa in the middle of the island, about a 10-minute drive from the airport. Winter is the playing season: at the Valletta station (1991–2020) November days are 21 °C, December–February 16–17 °C and March 17 °C, with nights of 9–14 °C; there are 9–10 rain days a month in November–January and 5–7 in February–March (climatestotravel.com). Norwegian flies direct from Helsinki to Malta (norwegian.com lists Helsinki as a departure airport for Malta); other connections go via Central Europe. Golf visitors stay in privately rented apartments and townhouses in Sliema, St Julian's and Valletta, a 10–15 minute drive from the course.
