Stellenbosch Golf Club is, by its own account, the fourth-oldest golf club in South Africa; the nine-hole course became the present 18-hole championship layout in 1953, and it has hosted the 1999 South African Open and five South African Masters. The parkland course winds between large trees and vineyards in the middle of Stellenbosch town, with mountain views. For 2026–2027, 18 holes in summer cost a non-affiliated visitor R1 550 (about EUR 78 at 20 ZAR/EUR), an affiliated golfer R740, and in winter R530 for both.
