Dubai

Dubai is the golf hub of the United Arab Emirates: this list has 11 courses in the emirate, from the two 18-hole championship courses at Emirates Golf Club to the 9-hole layouts at Meydan and Jebel Ali. Abu Dhabi

The emirate of Abu Dhabi has six courses in this list: five in and around the capital, including Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, plus the course at Al Ain inland. Winter is much like Dubai's: from November to March daytime temperatures are typically 24–31 °C with 1–4 rain days a month (Dubai station, 1991–2020). There is no direct flight from Helsinki to Abu Dhabi; Yas Island is about 110 km by motorway from Dubai airport. Yas Links and Yas Acres are part of residential communities on Yas Island whose villas and apartments are let privately.

Northern Emirates

The Northern Emirates – Sharjah, Ajman, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm al-Quwain – lie north of Dubai, and this list has three of their courses: Al Zorah in Ajman, Al Hamra in Ras al-Khaimah and Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club. Winter is the same as in Dubai: from November to March daytime temperatures are 24–31 °C with 1–4 rain days a month (Dubai station, 1991–2020). The nearest airport from Finland is Dubai, about 90 km from Al Hamra. Al Hamra and Al Zorah are residential golf communities whose villas and apartments are let privately.
