Algarve

Faro airport normals (1991–2020) give November–March daytime temperatures of 16–20 °C, nights of 8–12 °C and about 5–7 rain days a month. Finnair flies Helsinki–Faro (FAO) in both the winter and summer seasons; Lisbon is also about 2.5 hours away by car. The main golf hubs are Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Carvoeiro and Lagos–Portimão.

Lisbon

The Lisbon region in this catalogue covers the capital plus Cascais and Sintra, the Setúbal peninsula south of the Tagus, the Óbidos and Leiria coast and the inland Santarém and Coimbra districts – 26 courses in all. Lisbon station normals give November–March daytime temperatures of 15–18 °C and nights of 8–10 °C; winter months have 10–15 rain days, more than the Algarve. Finnair flies Helsinki–Lisbon (LIS) year-round, and the Cascais and Sintra courses are about half an hour from the airport by car. Ammaia in Marvão (Alto Alentejo) is listed under this region because it has no region of its own.

Madeira

Madeira is an Atlantic island about 1,000 km south-west of Lisbon and its golf is mountainous: this catalogue lists 3 courses, one of them on the neighbouring island of Porto Santo. Funchal observatory normals (1991–2020) give November–March daytime temperatures of 20–23 °C and nights of 14–17 °C, but 8–12 rain days a month and more in the mountains. Finnair flies Helsinki–Funchal (FNC) in both the winter and summer seasons, and Norwegian also flew the route in winter 2025–2026. Santo da Serra has hosted the Madeira Islands Open.

Azores

The Azores are a group of nine islands in the mid-Atlantic about 1,500 km west of Lisbon; this catalogue lists 3 courses on São Miguel and Terceira. Ponta Delgada airport normals (1981–2010) give November–March daytime temperatures of 17–19 °C and nights of 12–14 °C, but 18–20 rain days a month – the practical golf season is April to October. Porto

The Porto region in this catalogue covers all of northern Portugal – the Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real, Aveiro and Viseu districts – 10 courses in all, including the country's oldest, Oporto Golf Club in Espinho, founded in 1890. Porto station normals (1991–2020) give November–March daytime temperatures of 14–17 °C and nights of 5–9 °C with 8–13 rain days a month; the region is clearly cooler and wetter than the Algarve and the best season is April to October. There is no direct flight from Finland to Porto (OPO) in Finavia's winter and summer 2025–2026 route listings – connections go via Lisbon or another European hub.
