Tralee Golf Club was instituted in 1896 and opened its present Arnold Palmer-designed 18-hole links at Barrow near Ardfert in October 1984; the course is known for its towering dunes and clifftop tees. The visitor green fee is €450 in high season from 13 April to 9 October 2026 and €250 in early April; visitor times are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 to 15:00. It is a walking course, with buggies for medical reasons only.
