Holiday Club Katinkulta is a spa resort in Vuokatti with holiday homes and a golf course in the same area.

Paltamo Golf rents two lodgings of its own right beside the clubhouse at Golftie 13. Kymppi-Klubi is a 100-square-metre unit for six with three twin bedrooms, an open kitchen and living area, a sauna, two toilets and a terrace facing the lake. Klubi-Studio is 50 square metres for two to four guests, with one bedroom plus a sofa bed, an open kitchen, a sauna and its own toilet and shower. Published rates are from 299 euros a night on weekdays for Kymppi-Klubi (two-night minimum) and from 590 euros for a two-night weekend, with 230 and 400 euros for Klubi-Studio; guests staying over pay 45 euros a day for the green fee. Lomatalo Aallotar rents two semi-detached apartments, Kuiskaus and Havina, at the Paltamo golf centre on the shore of Lake Oulujärvi. Each is 76 square metres with six beds, two bedrooms, a kitchen-living room, a sauna and washroom, a separate toilet, storage, a terrace and a balcony. The equipment includes a heat-retaining fireplace, an air source heat pump, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a drying cabinet, and pets are welcome. Published rates start at 180 euros for one night, 475 euros for three and 890 euros for seven, with three price bands: low season, summer, and holidays and events. The Paltamon Golf course is about 0.4 kilometres away.

VuokatinHelmi is a 250-square-metre villa in the Katinkulta area of Vuokatti. Its six bedrooms sleep twelve in beds, with extra beds for eight more; the three smaller bedrooms have an upstairs floor of their own. The villa has a sauna, a washroom with two showers and a jacuzzi, a year-round hot tub on the terrace, two fireplaces, a home cinema with a projector and dining tables for fourteen. Outside there is a large terrace, a barbecue area and beach volleyball and street basketball courts, with parking for six cars. The house was built in 2000 and its interior renewed in 2006. The Katinkulta Golf clubhouse is about 480 metres away as the crow flies — walking distance.

Meteli House is a semi-detached house completed in 2001 on the shore of Lake Oulujärvi, and its two halves are rented separately. MeteliHouse A is 50 square metres plus a loft and sleeps four with two extra beds: downstairs a living room, kitchen, bedroom and a sauna with a washroom, upstairs a living room with a sofa bed and a bedroom, and a south-facing terrace over the lake. MeteliHouse B is 70 square metres plus a loft and sleeps four with six extra places: kitchen, living room, fireplace room and sauna downstairs, two bedrooms and a living room in the loft. The owner says the premises also suit training and meeting use, and bookings run through Lomarengas. The Paltamon Golf course is about 1.2 kilometres away.

Majatalo Kotolinna is a guesthouse on the riverbank in the centre of Paltamo village. It has single and twin rooms and a family room, and guests can also book the whole upstairs apartment, the downstairs rooms or the entire house; both floors have lounge and dining space and a kitchen with cookware. Bathing is in three rain-shower washrooms and an indoor sauna, and the separately bookable wood-heated yard sauna has an outdoor hot tub looking onto the river. Breakfast is available for bookings of at least two people or two nights, pets are welcome for a 15-euro fee, and the rate includes one hour of the indoor sauna per room per night. The Paltamon Golf course is about 1.2 kilometres away.

The two Paltamo Golf villas on Spinnikuja are each 234 square metres, and the operator states a capacity of nine guests and four twin bedrooms for each. Both have a fitted kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, a terrace, a sauna, two toilets and a washroom with two showers, which makes them suited to housing a whole group under one roof. Published rates start at 315 euros a night on weekdays with a two-night minimum and at 595 euros for a two-night weekend. Guests staying here pay 45 euros a day for the green fee. The Paltamon Golf course is about 1.3 kilometres away.

Paltamon Pappila is a newly renovated vicarage that has also been opened for guests and sleeps ten in total. The room options are a double with its own bathroom at 149 euros a night, a double with shared washing facilities at 129 euros and a single at 105 euros, with use of the bathroom and the indoor sauna included. Breakfast costs 14 euros per person, extra towels and robes 5 euros and an extra bed 25 euros per person. An outdoor sauna and a hot tub can be rented from neighbouring Kotolinna, and rates may vary in high season, meaning holiday weeks and June to August. The Paltamon Golf course is about 1.4 kilometres away.

Original Sokos Hotel Valjus is a hotel in the heart of Kajaani on Kauppakatu, with ten room types from singles to a suite. The building has restaurant Sulo, separate saunas for women and men daily from 18.00 to 21.30, and a gym open from 6.00 to 22.00 with dumbbells, kettlebells, yoga mats and an exercise bike. Breakfast is served every day and the hotel also welcomes breakfast guests from outside. The riverside scenery and the ruins of Kajaani Castle are within walking distance. The Kajaanin Golf course is about 3.9 kilometres away.

Kartanohotelli Karolineburg puts up guests in three buildings in the grounds of a manor in Kajaani, and the hotel calls itself the northernmost manor in Finland. Published rates are an inn double from 93 euros, a manor room from 99 euros, an inn room with sauna from 99 euros, a manor room with sauna from 108 euros, the inn Superior from 108 euros and the manor Superior from 120 euros. Most of the rooms have a private sauna. There is no restaurant at the manor itself; dining is at Hotelli Kajanus in the same group about 800 metres away, and reception answers the phone around the clock. The Kajaanin Golf course is about 4.2 kilometres away.

Hotelli Kajanus has 181 rooms in six categories, from Standard singles and doubles to Standard Plus, Superior rooms and a Junior Suite, with a private sauna in some rooms. Published rates start at 78 euros a night for Standard rooms, 140 to 145 euros for Superior rooms and 174 euros for the Junior Suite. Kitchen & Bar Kajanus operates in the building, the hotel gym is free for guests, and wristbands to the neighbouring Kaukavesi water sports centre are sold at the hotel reception. Hotelli Kajaani stands on Onnelantie and says all the city's services are within walking distance; it has four room types. The Comfort room has two beds, a balcony, a fridge, a desk and a kettle, the Standard room is the same without the balcony and the kettle, the family room sleeps three to four, and the Lönnrot apartment has four beds, a living room, a kitchenette with a stove and microwave, a terrace, two toilets, a shower and its own sauna. The room rate includes breakfast, an evening sauna, wifi and parking; students and pensioners get 15 per cent off and a pet costs 15 euros per room. On the bank of the Kajaani river is the hotel's Rantasauna Elias, with two saunas, a fireplace lounge and a swimming spot. The Kajaanin Golf course is about 4.7 kilometres away.

Kainuun Opisto is a folk high school in Mieslahti near Lake Oulujärvi, and it sells accommodation to outside guests as well as to students. Bed and breakfast is available all year in rooms for one to three people with a private bathroom and shower: a single is 68 euros a night, a double 80 euros and a third person 30 euros more. From 1 June to 10 August 2026 there is also hostel accommodation at 35 euros per person a night in rooms for two or three with shared washing facilities, with breakfast at 8.50 euros. Linen, towels, wifi and parking are included; pet rooms cost 10.50 euros extra and the sauna can be booked separately. The Paltamon Golf course is about 5.9 kilometres away.

Lahtela is a roughly hundred-year-old former co-op store building in the village of Melalahti, next to the village beach, and it now houses a summer café and accommodation. The main building sleeps five to six: the ground-floor King's Room at 60 to 80 euros a night and the attic at 30 to 100 euros depending on the arrangement. The sauna cottage sleeps two to three on a sofa bed at 30 to 40 euros a night. Guests have a bathroom, a kitchen and a yard sauna, and the village's shared beach has a grill shelter in public use; rooms can be booked all year by arrangement from 30 euros per person.
