Salems Golfklubb is set in the Högantorp manor landscape in Salem municipality, about 27 km west of central Stockholm; its postal address is on the Södertälje side. By the club's own description it is a 27-hole facility in the Mälaren landscape: the 18-hole course is par 71 and 5,681 metres from tee 57, and the nine-hole course is par 36 and 2,753 metres from tee 27. The nine-hole course is full length, open all year round with summer greens, and has no handicap limit. The club was founded in 1988, the first nine holes opened in 1995, the 18-hole course was inaugurated on 24 August 1996, and the remaining nine full-length holes were added from 2003; the clubhouse is a restored 150-year-old sheep barn. The club publishes no green fee on its own site — pricing is differentiated and the rates appear only in the Min Golf booking system.
