Täby Golfklubb is at Skålhamra Gård in Täby municipality, about 20 km north of central Stockholm, and the 18-hole course runs along the western shore of the lake Vallentunasjön. The club was founded in 1968 and admitted to the Swedish Golf Federation in 1969 as number 109; the course was built between 1969 and 1972 to a design by Nils Sköld. By the club's own description the course is short on paper but demanding, and a player should expect sloping lies and awkward putts. There is also a five-hole short course with holes of 40–81 metres, which is not counted in the hole total. The visitor green fee tops out at SEK 1,400 (about €126) from Friday to Sunday between 07.00 and 17.00; at other times it is SEK 1,200, and tee times are booked through Min Golf.
